Forgemaster Prime

Forgemaster Prime is the last remaining Ancient Master Forger and the final keeper of the First Forge. He helped create and kindle the Forge through Concordance as part of the ancient order of Master Forgers, but he did not create it alone. He practiced several of the order's disciplines and was never the owner of an individual Flame. Before the Shattering, he tended its living fire, protected the eleven Affinity Flames, and carried out a mysterious work whose purpose has never been revealed.

The Last Master Forger

Although Prime retains immense knowledge and power, he cannot safely rekindle the First Forge through his will alone. He may possess enough power to force the process, but doing so could consume the remaining Forge Embers or cause another Shattering. He refuses forced restoration because creation without restraint becomes destruction.

Prime therefore awaits the arrival of a new Master Forger. One capable of entering Concordance with him, helping recover and reunite the eleven Affinity Flames, and continuing the work interrupted by the unseen attack. Who this successor will be, how they will be recognized, and when they will arrive remain unknown.

When the unseen attack struck, Prime stood at the heart of the Forge and absorbed an immense portion of its escaping power. His intervention limited the destruction, but the blast scattered fragments of his forgeprint across the world. Only a small number of echoes were produced; Prime's immense strength kept most of his pattern intact.

The Firstborn Prime survived and remains among the ruins of the First Forge. He guards the finite Forge Embers still burning within its fractured heart, ever vigilant for the unknown attacker to return. Unable to abandon his post, he supports the independently formed Emberbound in their search for the eleven Affinity Flames. What Prime ultimately intends to create with the restored Forge remains unknown.
