LORE

As a Dust Pup matures, minerals drawn from the Dustfall Barrens accumulate beneath its hide, gradually forming the dense stone plating of a Stone Hound. No longer inclined to flee into the rocks, it stands its ground against threats and places itself between danger and the Forgekin under its protection. The stabilizing force it channels through the earth strengthens nearby allies, while its powerful Earthbound Charge allows it to strike with the weight of the surrounding terrain behind it. Stone Hounds commonly guard the narrow passes and sheltered dens of the Barrens, remaining motionless for hours as they watch for intruders. Once one has sworn itself to a pack or companion, neither fear nor force can drive it from their side.
