LORE

When a Bloomstone’s roots spread through enough mineral-rich ground, its separate stems merge into Thornolith. A massive predatory plant whose body resembles a living formation of thorn-covered rock. Thornoliths dominate the deepest ravines of the Dustfall Barrens, surrounding themselves with gardens grown from the enriched soil left by their earlier forms. Their blossoms release toxins that weaken approaching prey before the central maw awakens. Once a poisoned target comes within reach, Thornolith tears it apart and absorbs the remaining energy through Devour Bloom, repairing damage to its stone-like body. A mature Thornolith no longer spreads seeds or seeks new ground. It remains rooted within its territory and harvests anything careless enough to enter.
