FLAVOR TEXT

Small enough to overlook. Wise enough not to.

LORE

Explorer’s Field Note Caplets emerge after heavy rains in the rocky hollows beneath the Gloamwood. Their small bodies resemble ordinary mushrooms closely enough that travelers often step past entire gatherings without noticing them. When threatened, a Caplet releases a concentrated puff of spores that causes weakness, dizziness, and temporary confusion. It rarely pursues affected creatures, preferring to disappear between stones while they recover. Curiously, Caplets have been observed carrying seeds, feeding decaying roots, and guiding lost burrowing Forgekin toward the surface. Whether these actions are instinctive or directed by something beneath the forest remains unknown.
