FLAVOR TEXT

Beneath every forest lies the kingdom of Mycelix.

LORE

The Kingdom Below Old Gloamwood legends claim that its trees do not rule the forest. They merely stand above its true sovereign. Beneath the roots stretches a living web of luminous fibers connecting countless Caplets and Funglooms across the region. At the center of this Mycelial Network rests Mycelix, an ancient fungal Forgekin capable of sensing every footstep, fallen leaf, and disturbance transmitted through the earth. Some naturalists believe each Mycelix is an independent creature. Others argue there is only one vast consciousness using multiple bodies, with every supposed Forge Echo connected to the same hidden mind. When the Gloamwood is threatened, nearby Rock-Earth Forgekin rise with unnatural strength as roots seize the intruders. No command is spoken. No warning is given. The kingdom below simply decides that they no longer belong.
