LORE

Crystags roam the glacier valleys of the Glacial Tundra, where their translucent hides and crystalline antlers scatter the pale southern light into brilliant prismatic displays. From a distance, these flashes are often mistaken for sunlight moving across the ice. Though rarely aggressive without cause, a Crystag will defend its herd and territory against creatures many times its size. Before charging, it lowers its antlers and draws the surrounding cold into their crystalline branches. The resulting Prismatic Charge strikes with tremendous force, leaving frost spreading outward from the point of impact. Tundra guides claim that Crystags gather at dawn around fragments of ancient ice exposed after the Shattering. No one knows what lies within those frozen depths, but the herds refuse to abandon them, even during the deadliest storms. For this reason, some believe the Crystags are not merely defending territory. They are guarding something beneath it.
