LORE

Mirrorwater Washing Record Sudshells gather in the shallow mineral pools of Mirrorwater Basin, where their shells produce dense layers of long-lasting foam. Smaller Forgekin often shelter beneath these bubbles during storms, protected from debris and hostile abilities by the Sudshell’s Bubble Guard. Basin residents once attempted to raise them near public washstones. The arrangement ended after several Sudshells decided that clothing, tools, travelers, and an Emberbound supply cart all required cleaning at the same time. Though slow on dry ground, a Sudshell can propel itself across wet stone with alarming speed. Its Foam Bash leaves attackers bruised, soaked, and struggling to remain upright. Anyone working beside one should remember that Sudshell does not distinguish between something dirty and something standing too close to the water.
