LORE

*From a damaged account recovered from the First Forge* The surviving record names him Vyrelen. He entered the First Forge before the Shattering, while the eleven Affinity Flames still burned within its chambers. His attack was directed toward those Flames. The Forge itself stood between him and what he had come to take. What followed was long remembered only as destruction. The broken chambers and scattered Embers seemed evidence that the sanctuary had failed. They were evidence of its final choice. Before Vyrelen could claim the Flames, the living Forge scattered them beyond his reach. The force of that release shattered its heart, carried fragments of Firstborn forgeprints across the world, and tore brief openings between realms. The account does not say whether Vyrelen understood what the Forge was about to do. Its final surviving passage records the chambers emptying of light. Of Vyrelen’s fate, nothing remains.
