At a caravan repair yard in Dustfall Barrens, every screw has a place. Threadshot knows those places better than the proprietor. Travelers first notice the bins: sorted fittings, straightened fasteners, and bent pieces set aside for salvage. Then they notice the small construct watching their hands. Taking the wrong screw earns a hard stare. Putting it back in the wrong bin earns another. Threadshot spends quiet mornings inspecting wagon joints and loose panels. It braces a fitting, turns it with deliberate precision, and tests the result twice. Caravan crews have learned to wait when it stops beside a wheel. Its patience does not extend to raiders. During an attack on the yard, Threadshot climbed onto an overturned workbench and drove a barrage of screws into the boards beside the intruders. The warning was precise. When one continued forward, the next shot pinned his coat to a post. He left the coat behind. Afterward, Threadshot returned to the bench, tightened a rattling joint in its own arm, and began collecting scattered ammunition. The proprietor now charges departing caravans for missing fittings. Returning a handful of sand-coated screws does not settle the bill. Threadshot insists they be cleaned first.
